Preliminary check of the connecting shaft (Mazda 6 GG)

Make sure the connecting shaft is not twisted or cracked.



Turn the connecting shaft manually and check the smooth rotation of the bearing (fig. 3.125).

Replace the shaft if necessary.

Caution! Performing the following procedures without first removing the ABS wheel speed sensor may cause an open circuit in the wiring harness if the harness is accidentally tightened. Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor before performing the following procedures (from the body side) and fix it in a suitable place where the sensor will not be damaged by mistake during maintenance.
