Filling the cooling system with liquid (Mazda Familia BF)

Attach the drain hose to the radiator, replacing the clamps if necessary.

Close the radiator drain cock and tighten the cylinder block drain plug with a new gasket.

Fill with coolant.

Run the engine at idle speed and slowly add coolant to the radiator as the level drops.

After warming up the engine, press the accelerator pedal two or three times to remove air locks. Stop the engine, check the level, which should reach the lower edge of the radiator filler neck. If the level is below normal, and there are no signs of leakage in the system, add coolant. Replace the radiator cap.
