2. In the event of a malfunction, first check the fuse in the fuse box.
3. If the fuse is OK, check the tightness of the plug on the left and right on the rear window, if necessary, clean it from corrosion.
4. If the heater does not work, check the wires to the switch, see Chapter Electrical system.
5. Check the operation of the switching relay, see Section Relay test.
6. If the heater conductor has a break, a standard silver conductive varnish will help out. To do this, clean the repair area with thinner or ethylene.
7. Glue the place of the break on both sides with adhesive tape and apply silver paint with a thin brush.
8. Let the paint dry for 24 hours at +25°C. You can also use a hot air dryer. At a temperature of +150°C, the paint dries for 30 minutes.
Attention! Do not turn on the rear window defroster until the paint is dry. Do not use petrol or other solvents for cleaning.
