1. If the brake lights do not come on, you should first check the fuse in the fuse box.

2. If the fuse is OK, check the brake light bulbs and replace if necessary.

3. If the bulbs are OK, check the brake light switch. The brake light switch is located above the brake pedal on the pedal block. When you press the brake pedal, a pin extends from the switch. The switch contact closes, and the brake lights come on.

4. Check the brake light switch. To do this, disconnect the plug from the switch.

5. Connect an ohmmeter to the switch contacts. The resistance should be equal to infinity.

6. Press the brake pedal. The ohmmeter should now show 0 ohms. If not, replace the switch.
