Removal
Remove from automatic transmission model:
- gearbox;
- leading disk.
- Remove from manual transmission model:
- clutch slave cylinder;
- manual transmission in block with final drive;
- flywheel.
Use a knife to cut off the working edge of the seal.

Remove the oil seal using a flat-head screwdriver wrapped in a rag to prevent damage to the crankshaft oil seal (fig. 2.279).
Installation
Apply clean engine oil to the rear oil seal.
Insert the oil seal into the cylinder block by hand.

Install the rear oil seal using the special tool (fig. 2.280).
Press-in depth from the edge of the cylinder block: 0–0.5 mm.
Install the remaining components in the reverse order of removal.
