Note: Replace the brake pads of both rear wheel brake mechanisms at the same time. Install the friction linings of the brand and type recommended by the manufacturer.


Remove the brake drum assembly from the rear wheel hub.

Remove the brake shoe pressure springs.

Remove the brake shoe pressure springs.


Remove the front and rear brake shoes together with the upper and lower tension springs and the automatic clearance compensation springs between the shoes and drum.

Disconnect the brake pads.

Install new brake pads in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • before installing the brake shoes, move the toothed sector of the automatic clearance compensation between the shoes and drum close to the brake shield to increase the clearance between the shoes and drum and thus facilitate the installation of the shoes;
  • after installing the brake drum assembly with the hub, adjust the preload rear wheel hub bearings.
