Warning! Brake fluid is an aggressive liquid. If brake fluid gets on the painted surfaces of the car body, remove it immediately.


Remove the brake fluid from the hydraulic reservoir using a syringe.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the brake fluid level sensor terminals.

Mark the lines and disconnect them from the master cylinder.

Loosen the nuts securing the master cylinder to the vacuum booster.

Loosen the nuts securing the master cylinder to the vacuum booster.


Remove the master cylinder.

Install the brake master cylinder in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • after installing the master cylinder, make sure there is no gap between the vacuum booster pushrod and the master brake cylinder at a vacuum of 500 mm Hg. If there is a gap, eliminate it by moving the vacuum booster pushrod;
  • after installing the master cylinder, bleed the hydraulic system to remove air.
