Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant to the mating surface of the oil pan as shown in Figure 2.181.

Use a square to align the mating surfaces of the oil pan and cylinder block (fig. 2.182).

Tighten the rear oil pan mounting bolts in the order shown in Figure 2.183.
Tightening torque: 20–30 Nm.
