Make sure the gear shift lever (from the gearbox side) is in a neutral position.

Unlock the gear selector cable lock (from the gear shift lever side) in the order shown in Figure 3.34.
Move the gear shift lever to neutral position.
Lock the gear selector cable lock (from the shift cable side) in the order shown in Figure 3.34.
Install the center console.
Move the gear shift lever from neutral to another position and make sure that other items in the area do not interfere with the lever.
