Adjustment check
Set selector to position «R».
Support the vehicle in front.
Make sure the shift lever on the gearbox is in the «R». To do this, rotate the front wheels until the parking lock is activated (front wheels lock up).
If the front wheels do not lock up, adjust the control cable.
Adjustment
Disconnect the control cable from the gear lever on the gearbox, for which pry off the fastening pin.
Move the shift lever on the transmission until the park lock engages. Rotate the front wheels to check.
Set the selector lever in the passenger compartment to the position «R».
In this position, the holes in the shift lever and in the head of the control cable yoke must match and the fastening pin can be easily inserted into them (left arrow). Otherwise, adjust the cable length.
Pull cable back to adjust (right arrow). Slide the rubber boot on the cable back and turn the fork along the threads in the desired direction until the holes in the shift lever and the cable match, and you can insert the fastening pin.
Insert the fastening pin and fasten it by snapping it in, put on the rubber boot.
Lower the car.
