The cylinder head cover is made of aluminum alloy, due to which it has a low weight and high sound-absorbing properties. The cover has a lug for installing the camshaft position sensor, which is located in its rear part. In the cylinder head cover of L3 engines there is a hole for installing the oil control valve (OCV) (Fig. 2.3).
