The expansion tank is made of transparent material, so the brake fluid level can be checked from the outside at any time. It is recommended to regularly glance at the expansion tank.

The liquid level should be, with the lid closed, no higher than the maximum mark and no lower than the minimum.
Fill only with brake fluid of the specified specification SAE J 1703, DOT 3.
Due to wear of brake pads the brake fluid level drops slightly. This is normal.
If the brake fluid level drops significantly over a short period of time, this is a sign of brake fluid loss.
The leak location should be immediately identified. As a rule, it is located on worn cuffs in the wheel brake cylinders. For safety reasons, it should be checked in a specialized workshop.
