The system uses a wax thermostat with a pin. A stainless steel thermostat is installed in the plastic housing of the thermostat. When the engine coolant temperature is below 75°C, the thermostat stops the circulation of coolant through the radiator to improve engine warm-up. When the engine coolant temperature is between 80°C and 84°C, the thermostat valve begins to open, the coolant begins to circulate through the radiator to stabilize the engine temperature (Fig. 2.51).
