Removal
Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Place the car on a lift.
Remove the engine shield.
Drain the coolant.
Remove the radiator.
Disconnect the air supply and exhaust hoses from the heat exchanger.
Remove the heat shields from the exhaust manifold and turbocharger.
Remove the air supply pipe from the air quantity meter to the turbocharger.
Disconnect the pressure control hoses from the turbocharger.
Disconnect the inlet and outlet oil lines from the turbocharger.
Unscrew the four nuts securing the turbocharger studs to the manifold.
Remove the turbocharger with the gasket.
Installation
The turbocharger is installed in the reverse order, taking into account the following:
- replace the turbocharger gasket;
- mount the turbocharger only with nuts intended for this purpose;
- before installing the turbocharger, pour 25 cm³ of engine oil into its oil line, check the condition of the oil lines, replace the seals and clamps.
