Note: Idle speed adjustment must be performed on a warm engine, with the starting device switched off, with a clean air filter element, with a working ignition system and correctly set ignition timing, with a sealed exhaust system, in the absence of air leaks and switched off electrical consumers with a high load (electric fan, rear window heating element, etc.).
Using the mixture quantity adjusting screw 1, set the crankshaft speed within 800-900 rpm on vehicles with a manual transmission and 900-1000 rpm on vehicles with an automatic transmission.

Connect the gas analyzer.
Remove the plug from the mixture quality (composition) adjusting screw 2 and, by turning it, achieve the required carbon monoxide (CO) content in the exhaust gases.

Using screw 1, restore the crankshaft speed to 800-900 or 900-1000 rpm.
Check the CO content. If necessary, use adjusting screw 2 to restore the required CO content.
