Checking the electrical parameters of sensors

Using the table, check the electrical parameters of the sensors using a voltmeter or ohmmeter, connecting them to the sensor blocks.

Coolant temperature sensors are tested by placing them in a tank with water or coolant that can be heated. A 12 V power source and an ohmmeter are connected to the sensor. After turning on the water heating or cooling it, the resistance between the sensor terminals is measured.
