Removal



1. Set the wheels to the middle position.

2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Warning! This will erase the engine fault memory or the radio security code. Before disconnecting the battery, read the instructions in Section Removal and installation the battery.

3. Unscrew the lining bolts (horn key) on the back of the steering wheel. Remove the cover.

4. Remove the steering wheel bolts using a socket wrench with an extension.

5. Remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft using a suitable puller.

Caution! Do not hit the steering column with a hammer, as this will cause it to collapse.


Installation



1. Check that the turn signal lever is in the middle position, otherwise the cam may be damaged when installing the steering wheel.



2. Place the steering wheel on the splined shaft connection so that the spokes are horizontal.

3. Tighten the steering wheel bolt with force 40 Nm.

4. Connect the battery ground cable, check the operation of the sound signal.

5. Test drive and check the steering wheel installation while driving straight. The steering wheel spokes should be horizontal, otherwise, adjust the wheel accordingly.

6. Check the automatic return of the turn signal lever.

7. If available, set the time on the clock and set the security code for the radio receiver.
