The function, design and operation of the Mazda6 (GG) intake system with L3, LF and L8 engines are the same as the current 323 (BJ) FS engine, except for the following:
  • to improve maintainability, the AAS throttle body is not used.
  • the intake manifold is made of plastic to reduce weight.
  • variable Air Duct (VAD) system is used to improve engine performance.
  • a variable intake system (VIS) is used. This system is similar to the VICS system of the current 323 (BJ) model with FS engine.
