Checking the rear shock absorber
1. Remove the rear shock absorber from the vehicle.
2. Check the shock absorber for damage and oil leaks.
3. Compress and stretch the shock absorber piston rod at least three times. Make sure that the working force does not change and that there are no extraneous noises. If any faults are found, replace the front shock absorber with a new one.
Disposal of the rear shock absorber
Attention. Safety goggles must be used when drilling the front shock absorber. The gas inside the shock absorber is under pressure and drilling can blow metal filings into the eyes and face.
1. Place the shock absorber on a flat surface or piston down.
2. Drill a hole with a diameter of 2-3 mm at distance A (40-50 mm from the edge), shown in the figure to release the gas from the shock absorber.
