Install the engine on the stand.
Loosen the oil sump mounting bolts and unscrew the oil sump-to-camshaft drive cover bolts.
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Remove the front cylinder head cover seal.
Turn the crankshaft until the piston of the 1st cylinder is at TDC.
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Remove the chain tensioner.
Block the camshaft from turning with a flat wrench on the flats on the shaft.
Loosen the camshaft sprocket nut.
Slide the sprocket off the camshaft.
Remove the chain from the sprocket and remove the sprocket.
Remove the camshaft drive cover.
Remove the chain together with the crankshaft sprocket.
Remove the tensioner shoe and chain guide.
Rinse the removed parts, check their technical condition and replace the defective ones.
