Note. Each time the power unit is removed, it is recommended to replace the differential box seals, as well as the clamps and self-locking nuts.
Enter the power unit using a lifting device.
Attach the upper suspension support to the body and engine brackets.
Attach the front and rear suspension mounts to the gearbox and power unit suspension cross member.
Disconnect the chains or cables of the lifting device from the power unit.
Connect the muffler intake pipe to the exhaust manifold, replacing the gaskets if necessary.
Install the radiator and attach the inlet and outlet hoses to it.
Attach the wires to the generator and starter.
Connect the plug connectors of the sensors and the ignition distributor sensor, attach the spark plug wires.
Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum brake booster.
Connect the fuel supply and drain hoses to the fuel pump.
Connect the air hoses to the carburetor.
Connect the throttle cable to the carburetor and adjust it.
On vehicles with automatic transmission, connect the shift control cable adjust it.
On vehicles with automatic transmission, connect the clutch cable and adjust clutch pedal travel.
Install the ignition coil and connect wires to it.
Attach the flexible speedometer drive shaft to the gearbox.
Install the air filter.
Raise the car on a lift.
Connect the shift and selector rods to the gearbox.
Install the front wheel drive shafts taking care not to damage the differential box seals.
Attach the front suspension arms to the steering knuckles.
Check the tightness of the drain plugs, fill the engine and gearbox with oil, fill the cooling system.
Install the engine shield.
Install the battery mounting bracket and battery.
Connect the wires to the battery terminals.
Start, warm up the engine and check the ignition timing, valve clearances and engine idle adjustment.
Check for coolant and oil leaks.
Install the hood.
