Removal and installation
Attention:
- Fuel vapors are very dangerous. They are highly flammable and can cause serious injury and damage. There should be no sparking objects or open flames in the fuel area.
- Fuel spills or leaks from pipes are very dangerous. Fuel can irritate the skin and eyes. Always take safety precautions when working on the fuel system (see chapter "Fuel injection system").
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the air intake duct.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the radiator (see chapter "Cooling system").
5. Remove the exhaust pipe (see chapter "Air intake and exhaust system").
6. Remove the manual transmission (see chapter "Manual transmission").
7. Remove the power steering fluid pump and, without disconnecting the hoses, hang it to the side.
8. Remove the air conditioning compressor and, without disconnecting the hoses, hang it to the side.
9. Remove the parts in the order they are numbered in the figure "Engine Removal and Installation".
