Attention:
  • Before performing any repair work on the fuel system, be sure to disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
  • Do not smoke or use open flames when working on the fuel system.
  • Carry out work in a well-ventilated area.
  • Use safety glasses.
  • To relieve pressure in the fuel tank, remove and then install the fuel filler cap.
  • Fuel lines and hoses contain high pressure fuel even after the engine is stopped. To avoid damage or injury, perform fuel system pressure relief procedures before disconnecting fuel lines and hoses.
  • Avoid spilling fuel. When working, cover all disconnected pipes with a rag or lower them into a container where the fuel will drain.
