Note: When the diesel engine is running, the fuel filter separates water from diesel fuel to prevent damage to fuel system components "Common Rail". When about 0.13 l of water accumulates in the fuel filter, the water in the fuel filter indicator lights up on the instrument cluster. The indicator informs the driver of the need to remove water from the fuel filter.
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Follow the procedures described in the section "Before carrying out repair work".
3. Place a suitable container under the fuel filter.
4. Loosen the drain plug located on the bottom of the fuel filter one turn by hand.
5. Press the fuel pump with your hand to drain the water.
6. Tighten the drain plug.
