Caution: When removing the camshaft, make sure that none of the camshaft lobes press on the rocker arms, otherwise, when removing, the camshaft may be damaged under the influence of the valve spring forces!


1. Remove the engine trim panel.

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

3. Remove the air intake duct.

4. Remove the timing belt (see section "Timing belt").

5. Remove the camshafts.

6. Remove the parts in the order they are numbered in the figure.

1 - rocker arm,

1 - rocker arm,
2 - support bolt.


7. Installation of parts during assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note on installing support bolts

Apply a coat of threadlocker to the threads of the support bolt before installing it.

Note on installing rocker arms



If any rocker arms have been replaced, adjust the gap "A" using the adjusting screw before installing new rocker arms.
  • Gap "A" - less than 4.0 mm
