Engine: oil change.

Every 10,000 km or once every 6 months



Engine



Engine Oil: Replace, replace main oil filter.

Engine: Visual inspection for leaks.

Cooling and heating system: Check the fluid level, antifreeze concentration. Visually check the radiator for leaks and external contamination.

V-belts: Check the tension and condition of all belts, adjust if necessary.

Air filter element: Check for contamination, replace if necessary.

Exhaust system: Check for damage.

Gasoline engine: Check idle speed and CO content of warm engine, adjust if necessary for engines without a catalytic converter.

Ignition system: Check ignition timing, adjust if necessary.

Gearbox, wheel drive



Manual transmission: Check the oil level, top up if necessary.

Hinge guards: Check for leaks and damage.

Clutch pedal: Check play, adjust if necessary.

Brakes, wheels, tires



Brake system: Check the pipes, hoses, brake cylinders and connections for leaks and damage. Check the brake fluid level, top up if necessary.

Disc brakes: Check the thickness of the brake pads.

Handbrake: Check play, adjust if necessary.

Tires: Check tread depth and tire pressure; check tires for wear and damage (including spare tire).



Wheel nuts: Tighten to specified torque.

Chassis and steering



Tie rod ends: Check play and fastening, check dust boots.

Steering: Check for play, check covers for leaks and damage.

Servo control: Check fluid level, top up hydraulic oil if necessary.

Front and rear suspension: Visually inspect suspension components for damage.

Electrical equipment



All current consumers: check operation.

Lighting system: Check and adjust headlights if necessary.

Sound signal: Check.

Windscreen wiper: Check the wear of the rubber bands.

Windscreen washer: Check operation, check nozzle adjustment, top up fluid.

Battery: Check voltage and electrolyte level.

Body



Varnish coating, protective mastic of the bottom and preservation of cavities: Check, renew if necessary.

Every 20,000 km or once every 12 months



Engine



Diesel engine up to 9/89: Replace oil bypass filter

Gasoline engine: Replace spark plugs.

Injector engine: Adjust the throttle position sensor.

Carburetor engine: Replace the fuel filter.

Engine (designation E1, E3, E5, B3, B5, B6 up to 9/89 issue PN): adjust valve clearance.

Cooling and heating system: Replace the cooling concentrate.

Gearbox, wheel drive



Automatic transmission: Check the oil level, top up if necessary.

Differential and transfer case (all-wheel drive models): Check the oil level, top up if necessary.

Brakes, wheels, tires



Drum Brakes: Check Brake Shoes and Drums

Chassis and steering



Front and rear suspension: Tighten bolts and nuts to the specified tightening torque.

Body



Door hinges and locking plates: Lubricate. Seat belts: Check for damage, replace if necessary.



The following additional work should be performed:

Every 2 years



Brake system: Replace brake fluid.

Every 2 years or every 40,000 km



Engine (models up to 9/89.): Tighten the cylinder head bolts.

Engine: Tighten the intake and exhaust manifold bolts

Engine: Replace coolant.

Injector engine: Replace the fuel filter.

Air filter: Replace.

Differential and transfer case (all-wheel drive models): change oil.

Every 4 years or every 80,000 km



Manual transmission: Change transmission oil.

Every 5 years or every 100,000 km



Engine: Replace timing belt.
