At the factory, the cooling system is filled with a mixture of water and antifreeze and anticorrosive concentrate. The concentrate prevents damage to the system due to freezing and corrosion and also raises the boiling point of the liquid. Therefore, the cooling system must be filled with antifreeze and anticorrosive coolant all year round.

Caution! Use only branded ethylene glycol-based fluid with anti-corrosion properties. The concentrate must be compatible with aluminum parts. Do not use alcohol-based coolant concentrate.

Since the anti-corrosion component of the coolant loses its effect over time, the coolant must be replaced as part of maintenance, see Section Maintenance technology, tools and workplace equipment. Also, the coolant must be replaced when replacing aluminum parts, such as the cylinder head.

To achieve the correct ratio of concentrate to water, the manufacturer's data should be taken into account. At the latitude of Germany, frost resistance should be up to -20°C.

Attention! The concentrate must be mixed with demineralized or distilled water.
