Gas engine
1. Check the oil level.
2. Warm up the engine, the oil temperature must be at least +80°C. This temperature is reached under normal conditions by driving 15 km.
3. injection engine: Unbolt the intake manifold.
4. Disconnect the cable from the oil pressure sensor and unscrew the sensor. Collect leaking oil.
5. Screw in a suitable pressure gauge instead of the pressure sensor.
6. Start engine, set to run at check RPM and take readings.
7. Unscrew the pressure gauge.
8. Coat 2-3 threads of the oil pressure sensor with sealant, for example, Loctite 242, insert and screw the sensor firmly 15 Nm.
9. injection engine: Install the intake manifold bracket and tighten firmly 25 Nm and 45 Nm.
Oil pressure table
Engine | Oil pressure in bar | Test speed |
Gas engine | 2,0 — 3,0 3,0 — 4,0 | 1000 rpm 3000 rpm |
diesel engine | min. 3.0 | 3000 rpm |
Diesel engine
1. Unscrew the oil hose on the vacuum pump. Collect leaking oil.
2. Screw a suitable pressure gauge with manifold into the pipeline.
3. Start the engine, let it run at the test RPM, and take readings.
4. Remove the pressure gauge and splitter and screw the oil hose to the vacuum pump.
5. If the oil pressure is not correct, see table.
