The cylinder head is hardened, made of light aluminum alloy and has very high thermal conductivity. The head is equipped with new compact wedge-shaped combustion chambers. The wedge shape contributes to high detonation resistance and increases the fuel efficiency of the engine. Spark plugs are installed in the upper part of the combustion chambers to improve combustion efficiency. The intake/exhaust channels are located transversely (the angle between the valves is 39°, each cylinder has two intake and two exhaust valves), due to which high efficiency of intake and exhaust is achieved. The cylinder head fastening bolts have a tightening torque in the plastic zone, tightening is carried out in five stages. This ensures the stability of the bolt axis during tightening (Fig. 2.4).
