Attention. If the stability control system sensors initialization procedure is not completed, the system will not operate correctly and may cause an accident. After replacing or removing the hydroelectronic control unit, it is imperative to perform the procedure for initializing the sensors of the dynamic stabilization system to ensure proper system operation.
1. Check wheel alignment and tire pressure. Make appropriate adjustments if necessary.
2. Place the vehicle on a level surface.
3. Turn off the ignition.
4. Connect the M-MDS device (IDS) to the diagnostic connector DLC-2.
5. Once the vehicle has been identified, select the following options from the IDS home screen:
- Choose "Chassis" (chassis)
- Choose "ABS/DSC"
- Choose "Sensor Initialization"
6. Then select the desired option from the OSD menu:
- "Brake fluid pressure sensor" (brake fluid pressure sensor)
- "Lateral Acceleration Sensor" (lateral acceleration sensor)
- "Yaw Rate Sensor" (yaw sensor)
- "Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor" (longitudinal acceleration sensor)
7. Carry out the procedure following the prompts on the screen.
8. Take a trip by car.
9. After at least five minutes of driving, run a diagnosis of the DSC system.
