Removal and installation the current sensor
Caution: Before disconnecting the negative battery cable, disconnect the current sensor connector. If you disconnect the negative battery cable first, the ECM will erroneously detect the signal from the current sensor, which will adversely affect the engine management system.
1. Disconnect the current sensor connector.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the current sensor.

4. Install the current sensor.
5. Connect the current sensor connector.
6. Connect the negative battery terminal.
Checking the current sensor
Checking for fault codes
1. Connect the M-MDS device to the DLC-2 diagnostic connector.
2. Perform a fault code check using the M-MDS tool. If a fault code related to the current sensor is detected, correct the fault.
Visual inspection of the current sensor
1. Disconnect the current sensor connector.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the current sensor.
4. Make sure that there is no damage to the current sensor, and that there is no corrosion or damage to the connector. If any defects are found, replace the current sensor with a new one.
