1. Adjustment is carried out by loosening the hinge bolts and moving the door. The hinges have holes larger than the diameter of the mounting bolts, i.e. the hinge can be moved.
2. To adjust the gaps, loosen the hinge bolts on the body (first or second body pillar), without unscrewing them. On vehicles with 9/85 to 9/89 issue. adjust the door so that it is parallel and at the same distance from the surrounding body elements.
3. Align the door with the contour of the body: If the door is not level with the body when closed, loosen the hinge bolts on the door and move the door accordingly. The rear door at the front can be located up to 1 mm further than the front door.
4. In the rear area of the door, the door wedge needs to be adjusted. To do this, loosen the locking wedge so that it can be moved with light blows from a plastic hammer. Close and level the door. Then carefully open the door and tighten the two wedge bolts to 25 Nm. To control the displacement, circle the wedge with a felt-tip pen.
5. If the door is perfectly positioned in the closed position, tighten the hinge bolts 25 Nm.
