  • When working on the electrical system in the engine compartment, be sure to disconnect the battery ground cable.

Attention! This will erase the data from the memory of the electronic control unit of the injection system and the security code of the radio receiver. Therefore, before disconnecting, be sure to read the instructions in Section Removal and installation the battery.

  • Don't mix it up voltage regulator and alternator cables. Mark cables with tape before disconnecting.
  • Not turn off battery or voltage regulator with the engine running.
  • Do not remove generator with battery connected.
  • When welding, the battery must be disconnected.
