The solenoid valve on the injection pump opens the fuel channel when the ignition is turned on. It should be checked if the engine does not start or continues to run after the ignition is turned off.
1. Turn on and off the ignition. The solenoid valve should click audibly at the same time.
2. If the valve does not click, check with a voltmeter whether voltage is applied to it when the ignition is on. If no voltage is applied, find and repair a wire break according to the diagram.
3. If no fault is found, disconnect the cable and unscrew the valve.
4. To unscrew the valve, disconnect the fuel line from the injection pump, after loosening the clamp.
5. Disconnect the gas supply.
6. Connect a 12 V power supply to the removed solenoid valve. The valve stem must retract, otherwise replace the valve.
7. Insert new valve with gasket and tighten firmly 25 Nm. Connect the cable to the valve.
8. Connect the fuel line and secure it with a clamp.
9. Connect and adjust the gas supply.
10. Remove air from the supply system.
