The electromagnetic valve on the high-pressure fuel pump opens the fuel channel when the ignition is turned on. It should be checked if the engine does not start or continues to run after the ignition is turned off.

The electromagnetic valve on the high-pressure fuel pump opens the fuel channel when the ignition…

1. Turn the ignition on and off. The electromagnetic valve should click audibly.

2. If the valve does not click, check with a voltmeter whether voltage is applied to it when the ignition is on. If voltage is not applied, find and fix the wire break according to the diagram.

3. If no fault is found, disconnect the cable and unscrew the valve.

4. To unscrew the valve, disconnect the fuel line from the high-pressure fuel pump, having first loosened the clamp.
