2. The engine must be warmed up to normal operating temperature.
Caution! The gas cable is very fragile and should be handled with particular care during installation. Even a slight bend can cause the cable to break during operation. Cables that have been bent should not be installed.
3. Ask your assistant to fully depress the gas pedal (full throttle position), or fix it in this position by placing a wooden block between the seat and the pedal.
4. In the full throttle position, adjust the cable on the counter support using the lock nut so that the fuel injection pump lever fits without tension against the maximum stop.
5. Release the gas pedal, the fuel injection pump lever should now be in contact with the idle stop.
