Adjusting the selector drive cable (Mazda CX-5KE)

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the switch panel.

3. Loosen the bracket mounting screws.



4. Remove the bracket from the rear console.

5. Move the selector lever to position P.

6. Pull out the safety lock in the direction of the arrow (1) in the figure, then pull out the locking element in the direction of the arrow (2) in the figure and unlock the cable.



7. Set the manual shift lever to position P.



8. Press the locking element in the direction of the arrow (1) in the figure, and then press the safety lock in the direction of the arrow (2) in the figure and lock.





9. Install the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal.

10. Check the selector lever.
