Checking the continuity of the downshift switch circuit
Note: The downshift switch is built into the selector lever assembly.
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the front console.
3. Disconnect the selector lever connector.

4. Check the continuity between terminals D and J of the selector lever connector. If the check results are not normal, replace the selector lever with a new one.
