1. Front brake hose clamp.
2. The upper nut of the front anti-roll bar.
3. Dynamic damper (if equipped).
4. The lower bolts of the front shock absorber.
5. Top nuts of the front shock absorber.
6. Front suspension strut assembly.
Removing the front suspension strut
Attention. Performing the following procedure without first removing the front-wheel ABS sensor may result in an accidental open circuit in the wiring harness. Before performing the following procedures, disconnect the front ABS wheel sensor harness (from the side of the drive shaft) and fix the wiring in a suitable place where it will not be erroneously touched when servicing the vehicle.
1. Remove the relevant wheel from the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the ABS front wheel sensor wiring from the steering knuckle and set aside.
3. To take a clip and to disconnect a forward brake hose from a rack of a forward suspension bracket.
4. Remove the top nut of the front anti-roll bar.
5. If equipped, remove the dynamic damper.
6. To turn away the bottom bolts of a forward shock-absorber.
7. To turn away the top nuts of a forward shock-absorber.
8. Remove the front suspension strut from the wheel arch.
Front suspension strut installation
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Note:
After connecting the steering knuckle to the front shock absorber, insert the lower shock absorber bolts as follows:
- Right side of the vehicle: Insert the bolts from the front side of the vehicle.
- Left side of the vehicle: Insert the bolts from the rear of the vehicle.
Check wheel alignment.
