Front suspension strut — removal and repair (Mazda Capella GC)

1. The upper parts of the front suspension strut have been modified in two places to eliminate detonation noise. Changes were made to virtually all of the upper components, with the exception of the coil spring and strut.

2. Removal and repair, however, remain essentially as given in Section 10, Chapter 21.

3. When working on a strut with an adjustable shock absorber, apply a small amount of grease to the piston rod before installing the rebound stop.
