Note:
- When the tire pressure monitoring system is initialized, a learning procedure is started and completed after the vehicle has been driven for 20 minutes.
- Until the tire pressure monitoring system is taught, its primary functions will not work.
Checking the installation switch of the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
1. Remove the TPMS installation switch together with the switch box from the dashboard.
2. Verify that the resistance between terminals B and C of the TPMS installation switch corresponds to the value indicated in the table. If the measured resistance is not correct, replace the TPMS installation switch.
Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) diagnosed by the on-board diagnostic system, storing the corresponding fault codes in the memory of the electronic control unit.
Tire pressure monitoring system initialization
Note:
Tire pressure monitoring system initialization is required after the following operations have been performed:
- After adjusting tire pressure.
- After changing tires or rims.
- After changing the tires on the car.
- After replacing the DSC hydro-electronic control unit.
- After disconnecting the hydroelectronic control unit DSC.
- After replacing the battery.
- After disconnecting the negative battery terminal.
1. Park the vehicle in a safe place on a level surface.
2. Adjust the pressure in all four tires to normal (pressure adjustment should be done on cold tires).
3. Turn on the ignition (engine off or on).
4. Press and hold the tire pressure monitoring system installation switch until the system indicator flashes 1 or 2 times and the horn sounds 1 time.
3. Apply battery voltage to terminal J of the TPMS installation switch and connect terminal 1 to ground.
4. Verify that the switch LED lights up. If the LED does not illuminate, replace the TPMS installation switch with a new one.
