1. Ball joint of the lower arm of the front suspension.
2. Lower arm front suspension.
3. Bushing of the lower arm of the front suspension.
Note:
: replace the part with a new one after each removal.
: use a special tool or attachments.
1. Remove the front protective tray No. 2 of the engine.
2. Unscrew the nut and remove the bolt of the lower ball joint of the steering knuckle, and then disconnect the ball joint of the lower suspension arm from the steering knuckle.
3. Using a hacksaw, cut off the head of the lower control arm bushing from the rear as shown in the illustration.
Attention. When using a hacksaw to cut off the head from the rear of the front lower arm, be careful not to damage or scratch the front lower arm.
4. Using special tools, remove the bushing of the lower arm of the front suspension.
Attention. Install special tool 49 U34 204 as shown in the figure and remove the bushing from the rear side of the front suspension lower arm.
5. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal. Installation of the bushing of the lower arm of the front suspension is as follows:
Using the special tools, install the bushing into the lower rear suspension arm.
Attention.
- Install special tool 49 U034 204 as shown in the illustration and install the lower control arm rear bushing.
- Install the lower control arm front bushing so that the tab shown in the illustration points towards the front of the vehicle.
Note:
- Before installing, apply a soapy solution to the bushings of the lower front suspension arm.
- If soap solution gets into the inner tube of the front suspension lower arm bushing, be sure to wipe it off with a cloth.
After installing the front lower arm bushing, make sure it is installed as shown in the figure.
6. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment.
