Attention. Disassembly/Assembly Procedures - Front Suspension Struts - are hazardous. Severe injury or death and damage to the vehicle can result if the front shock absorber with spring is fired.
1. Remove the front suspension strut from the vehicle.
2. Remove the cap from the shock absorber piston rod nut.
1. Cap.
2. Piston rod nut.
3. Mounting gum.
4. Bearing.
5. Boot for vertical movement of the wheel.
6. Chipper.
7. Lower spring seat.
8. Front shock absorber.
9. Helical spring.
Note:
: replace the part with a new one after each removal.
: use a special tool or attachments.
: apply lubricant.
Attention. Before unscrewing the piston rod nut, fix the front shock absorber with the coil spring in the special tool. Otherwise, the coil spring could fire with great force and cause serious injury or death, or damage to the vehicle.
3. Install the front suspension strut assembly into the special tool:
Note: Install the special tool with a clean cloth to prevent damage to the surface of the coil spring.
Install the fasteners of the special tool as shown in the figure.
Install the front shock absorber with coil spring on the special tool so that the coil spring is in the position shown in the figure.
2. Using a special tool, compress the helical spring.
3. Loosen the shock absorber piston rod nut.
4. Remove the mounting rubber and bearing from the shock absorber.
5. Consistently remove the anther, bump stop, and lower spring seat from the shock absorber.
6. Remove the coil spring from the shock absorber.
7. Assembly is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following:
Installing the coil spring
Using a special tool, compress the helical spring.
Install the front shock absorber so that the lower edge of the coil spring sits on the step of the lower spring seat.
Mounting rubber band installation
Install the mounting rubber so that the studs of the mounting rubber and the front shock absorber bracket are located as shown in the figure. Angle A: 0°±5°.
