Note: Since the wiper blades may freeze to the windshield, the wiper drive motor is protected from breakage, overheating and fire by a circuit breaker. The circuit breaker automatically turns off the wiper (for about five minutes). If this happens, move the windshield wiper control lever to the "Off" position and stop at the side of the road or the edge of the road to remove snow and ice from the windshield and free the windshield wipers. After five minutes, move the windshield wiper control lever to the "On" position. The windshield wiper should resume operation.
