If the external lighting devices are on and the ignition switch is in the "ACC" (Auxiliary power consumers) or "OFF" (Ignition off) position, a continuous signal will sound when the driver's door is opened.
Note:
- If the ignition switch is in the "ACC" ("Auxiliary power consumers") position, the "Ignition switch" sound indicator is not in the "OFF" ("Ignition off") position and has priority over the indicator for external lighting that is not switched off.
- You can change the volume level of the sound signaling device for lights that are not switched off at your discretion.
Audible warning light for airbag system and front seat belt pretensioners
If a fault is detected in the airbag/front seat belt pretensioner system and the corresponding visual fault indicator, the audible fault indicator will sound. A warning sound will sound for approximately five seconds every minute.
The audible alarm for a malfunction of the airbag/seat belt pre-tensioner system will operate for approximately 35 minutes. You must immediately contact the service station of an authorized Mazda dealer to repair the car.
Attention.
- Do not continue to operate the vehicle if the air bag/pretensioner system malfunction indicator chime is sounding.
- It is dangerous to continue driving your vehicle if the airbag/seat belt pretensioner warning light is sounding. In the event of an accident, the airbags and front seat belt pretensioners will not deploy, which could result in death or serious injury to the driver and passengers. You must immediately contact an authorized Mazda dealer for vehicle repair.
Audible alarm for an unfastened seat belt
Front seats
If the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h and the driver/front passenger seat belt has not been fastened, the audible warning device will sound continuously. If the belt remains unfastened, the audible warning device will stop and then resume for approximately 90 seconds. Once the driver (front seat passenger) fasten your seat belt and the signal will stop.
Note:
- If there are any objects or luggage on the front passenger seat cushion, the seat belt warning function may be activated depending on the weight of the objects.
- In order to ensure the normal operation of the load sensor built into the front passenger seat cushion, the passenger should not place an additional cushion and sit on it. Otherwise, due to the influence of the additional cushion, the built-in load sensor will not be able to work properly.
- If there is a child in the front passenger seat, the audible alarm may not respond at all to an unfastened seat belt.
Back seat
The audible warning light will only sound if the rear seat passenger unfastens the previously fastened seat belt.
An audible warning device that indicates that the ignition switch is not in the "OFF" position ("Ignition off")
If the ignition switch is in the "ACC" position ("Auxiliary Power consumers"), then when the driver's door is opened, six warning beeps will sound and the red indicator of the keyless entry system will flash, reminding the driver that the ignition switch is not switched to the "OFF" state (in the case of vehicles with type A instrument cluster, messages are displayed on the instrument cluster). In this case, the car's keyless entry system will not function, the car cannot be locked, and the battery will be discharged.
Sound signaling of removal of electronic key from the car
The following conditions (when the ignition switch is not in the "OFF" position) cause the horn to sound and the red indicator of the keyless entry system to flash continuously. This is intended to alert the driver that the electronic key is outside the vehicle (in the case of vehicles with type A instrument cluster, messages are displayed on the instrument cluster)The red keyless entry indicator will stop flashing when the electronic key is back in the vehicle (in the case of vehicles with type A instrument cluster, messages are displayed on the instrument cluster).
The ignition switch is not turned to the "OFF" position and all vehicle doors are closed after the electronic key is removed from the vehicle (at this point, six warning signals will sound).
Note: Since the electronic key uses a low-power radio transmitter, the key removal alarm may also be triggered if the key is located with a metal object or is placed in an area with poor radio reception conditions.
Sound signaling of blocking of action of external control buttons of locks (car with advanced keyless entry system)
Below are the terms and conditions (for the case when the electronic key is on the driver and the button on the front door handle is pressed), when performed, an audible signal sounds for approximately two seconds, warning the driver that it is impossible to lock the car doors:
- open (or not closed tightly) one of the doors or the rear liftgate;
- the ignition switch is not switched to the "OFF" position.
Sound signal about the key being in the luggage compartment (car with advanced keyless entry system)
If the electronic key is left in the luggage compartment when all doors are locked and the liftgate is closed, the buzzer will sound for ten seconds to remind the driver that the electronic key is left in the luggage compartment. In this case, open the liftgate by pressing the electric lock control button and remove the electronic key from the luggage compartment. The electronic key removed from the luggage compartment may not work because its functions have been temporarily blocked.
Sound signal about the presence of an electronic key in the car (car with advanced keyless entry system)
If the electronic key is left inside the vehicle and all doors, including the liftgate, are locked with another electronic key, the buzzer will sound for ten seconds to remind the driver that the electronic key is left inside the vehicle. In this case, the doors, including the liftgate, are locked, but the functions of the electronic key left inside the vehicle are temporarily blocked.
I-stop system warning beep
If the driver's door is opened when the i-stop system is activated and the engine is stopped automatically, the green i-stop indicator will flash and the horn will sound to alert the driver that the engine has been stopped by the system. The horn will stop when the driver's door is closed.

Speed Limit Exceeding Alarm Function
When the preset speed limit is exceeded, a single beep sounds and the corresponding indicator in the instrument cluster comes on. You can change the speed limit and set the speed limit at which the alarm will be triggered at your discretion.
Tire pressure drop alarm
If the air pressure in one or more tires falls below the normal level, an audible warning signal will sound for three seconds.
Alarm about decrease in outside air temperature
The alarm warns the driver of a car about a drop in outside temperature and the possible formation of ice on the road.
When the outside temperature drops below 4°C, a warning signal sounds and the temperature display digits flash for approximately ten seconds.
Audible alarm system for warning about danger when changing lanes (some performances)
The audible alarm comes on simultaneously with the start of flashing of the RVM visual alarms.
Note: The volume of the sound signal can be changed.
Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) Audible Warning
If, while the system is operating, it detects that the vehicle is deviating from its lane, it will sound a warning signal.
Note: The volume level of the warning signal can be changed according to your preference.
