Press the lever towards you to activate the windshield washer. The washer will spray fluid onto the…

Note: If the windscreen wiper control lever is in the "OFF" position ("OFF"), "INT" ("Intermittent operation mode")/ "AITO" ("Automatic mode"), then when the washer is turned on, the windshield wiper will operate continuously until the lever is released.

Caution: To avoid premature wear of the wiper blades and/or wear and clouding of the windshield in the wiper blade area, make sure that the wiper does not move on dry or semi-dry glass. If the rain intensity is light (or when driving a car on a wet road after rain), turn on the windshield washer at the same time as the wiper to ensure sufficient wetting of the windshield. If the washer nozzles do not provide sufficient and uniform wetting of the windshield surface in the wiper blade operating area, contact an authorized Mazda dealer to have the malfunction corrected.

If the washer does not work, check the fluid level in the washer reservoir. If the washer fluid level is normal, contact an authorized Mazda dealer to have the vehicle checked.

Note: Vehicles with headlight washers: If the headlights are on, the headlight washers will automatically turn on every fifth time the windshield washer is turned on.
