Removal
Preliminary remove the gearbox.
Mark the position of the clutch release housing relative to the flywheel.
Loosen the bolts securing the clutch housing to the flywheel.
Remove the clutch housing assembly with the pressure plate. This will release the driven disk.
Installation
Thoroughly clean the clutch components and visually inspect the condition of the rivets and the fastening of the springs of the torsional vibration damper of the driven disk. Check the condition of the working surface of the friction linings. If cracks are detected, the distance between the rivet and the working surface of the lining is reduced to 0.3 mm, as well as in case of uneven wear and one-sided scoring, replace the friction linings. Lubricate the splines of the primary shaft of the gearbox and the outer surface of the guide sleeve of the clutch release bearing with a thin layer of Molykote 321 R type grease.
Check the condition of the surface under the driven disk on the flywheel.
Check the condition of the clutch release bearing and the front bearing of the gearbox primary shaft and replace them if necessary. Remove scratches and burrs on this surface by turning, removing a metal layer of no more than 0.5 mm. At the same time, turn the supporting surface of the driven clutch disk by the same amount so as not to change the tension of the pressure spring.
Install the driven clutch disc with the protruding part of the hub towards the pressure plate.

Install the clutch housing according to the marks made during disassembly. Screw in the bolts securing the clutch housing to the flywheel and center the driven clutch disc using a 495E 01 310 or 49E 301 310 mandrel, which imitates the splined end of the gearbox input shaft.
