Installation

Install the gearbox in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • before installing the gearbox, apply a thin layer of molybdenum disulfide based grease to the input shaft splines;
  • replace the retaining rings on the inner joints of the front wheel drive shafts with new ones; while doing this, direct the retaining ring tabs upwards;
  • when connecting the wheel drive shafts to the axle gears, apply force to the wheel hub, being careful not to damage the differential box seals. After installing the drive, carefully pull it towards you to ensure that the shaft is securely held by the retaining ring;
  • pour oil into the gearbox through the socket of the driven shaft-gear of the speedometer drive;
  • after installing the gearbox, check its operation while driving and make sure there are no oil leaks.
