Removing the shafts
On 5 speed gearboxes
Remove the rear cover of the gearbox housing.
Loosen the nut on the end of the output shaft.
5-speed gearbox type «F»
Remove the thrust washer from the output shaft.
Knock out the locking pin of the 5th gear fork.
Remove the V gear engagement fork assembly with the V gear synchronizer.
Remove the 5th gear.
Remove the 5th gear needle bearing.
Loosen the nut from the input shaft.
Remove the 5th gear from the input shaft.
5-speed gearbox type «G»
Loosen the nut from the input shaft.
Remove the reverse gears from the input and output shafts.
Knock out the locking pin of the V gear and reverse fork.
Remove the V gear and reverse gear engagement fork assembly with the V gear and reverse gear synchronizer.
Remove the driven gear of the 5th gear and the needle bearing from the secondary shaft.
Remove the 5th gear drive gear from the input shaft.
On gearbox types «F» And «G»
Turn out a stopper 1 of a clamp of a backing and a lock bolt 3 of the lever of inclusion of a backing.
On gearboxes of the type «F» unscrew the bolt, remove the spring and the ball of the reverse fork rod retainer.
Loosen the bolts securing the gearbox housing to the clutch housing.
Remove the gearbox housing.
Remove the magnet from the gearbox housing.
Remove the axle and reverse idler gear.
On 5-speed gearboxes, unscrew the locking bolt of the V and reverse fork slider. Remove the slider and fork for engaging V gear and reverse gear.
On gearboxes of the type «F»
Set the gearbox shafts to neutral position, install the shift rod lock and the movable leash, as shown in the figure.
Move the gear selector shaft so as to turn the shift fork shaft of 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears counterclockwise.
While holding the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shift fork shaft in the rotated position, push the selector shaft into the crankcase to raise the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shift fork shaft.
Without changing the position of the parts, remove the adjustable cotter pin of the leash.
Take out at the same time the primary and secondary shafts as an assembly, remove the rod with the shift forks of I and II, III and IV gears.
Remove differential.
Remove the shift fork carrier and remove the detent ball and spring.
On gearbox type «G»
Knock out the pin from the intermediate reverse lever.
Remove the shaft of the intermediate reverse lever and the lever itself by moving the shift shaft.
Align the ends of the lock of the rods of the shift forks of I and II, III and IV gears and the leash.
Turn the shift forks of 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears clockwise.
Raise the 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear shift forks as far as possible.
Raise the leash, remove the ball and detent spring.
Remove the rod and shift forks of 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears.
Remove the input and output shafts at the same time.
Remove differential.
On gearbox types «F» And «G»
Remove the seal from the input shaft. Using a mandrel, press out the outer race of the input shaft front bearing from the socket of the clutch housing, applying force from the side of the shaft.
Pull and remove the sleeve from the output shaft. Press the outer ring of the front bearing of the output shaft from the socket of the clutch housing.
Using a mandrel, press the outer rings of the differential bearings out of the sockets of the gearbox housing and clutch housing.
Press out the differential bearing seals if they need to be replaced.
Press out the outer races of the rear bearings of the primary and secondary shafts from the crankcase using a bronze drift, which should be installed in the grooves of the bearing seats.
