Manual transmission: check the oil level.
Automatic transmission: check the fluid level, replace it. Replace the oil filter.

Clean the gearbox housing with a chemical cleaner.
Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
Sprinkle potential leak areas with talcum powder or chalk.
Take a test drive. In order for the oil to become fluid, you need to drive at least 30 km at high speed.
Raise and support the vehicle and inspect the leak areas using a portable lamp.
Eliminate the causes of leaks.
