Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Drain the coolant from the engine.
Remove the following items:
- front wheel (right);
- bottom cover and mudguard (right);
- air filter assembly;
- ignition coils;
- drive belt;
- power steering pump without disconnecting the oil hose and oil line.

Note: Secure the power steering pump with a rope in a position that does not interfere with servicing.
Remove the coolant and power steering reservoir with the hoses and lines connected.
Remove the generator.
Remove the coolant pump
Remove the accelerator cable bracket (from the body side)
Disconnect the ground wire (engine support #3)
Disconnect the following elements:
- ventilation hose;
- oil control valve wiring harness;
- crankshaft position sensor connector.
Remove the cylinder head cover.

Secure the crankshaft pulley using special tools and remove the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt (fig. 2.253).
Remove the crankshaft pulley, idler pulley and automatic drive belt tensioner.

Support the engine using the engine jack and additional tool and remove support #3 (fig. 2.254).
Remove the oil level dipstick tube.
Remove the front engine cover.

Remove the front oil seal using a flat-head screwdriver (fig. 2.255).
